Black Suzani Jacket with Colorful Embroidery – Handcrafted

184.00 incl. VAT

Description

This black Suzani jacket lets its purple, red, and light blue florals really pop against the black velvet base, framed by a mustard gold vine trim running down the front edges and hem. Two embroidered patch pockets set this piece apart from the rest of the collection, adding a practical, folk artisan touch you won’t find on our other styles. It’s one of the more wearable, everyday jackets in our collection of Suzani jackets.

Fit & Sizing

This black Suzani jacket comes in one generous size, with a loose, unstructured shape built to suit a range of body types.

  • Silhouette: relaxed, boxy fit with a dropped shoulder and an open, collarless front
  • Sleeves: long, full length, finished with a wide cuff
  • Sizing: one size, made to be worn open and relaxed rather than tailored to a specific fit
  • Good to know: the purple, red, and light blue florals on this jacket, along with the patch pocket placement, may sit slightly differently from piece to piece. Small variations from the reference photos are normal.

Materials

Purple, red, light blue, and mustard gold thread come together on a black velvet ground for this jacket, with the floral motifs and vine trim built up through detailed embroidery on a cotton velvet base.

  • Exterior: 100% cotton velvet, handmade with detailed embroidery
  • Embroidery thread: purple, red, light blue, and mustard gold
  • Lining: cotton
  • Closure: open front without a closure
  • Collar: open, collarless front edged in a mustard gold vine trim
  • Note: as a handmade piece, small variations in thread tone and motif placement are natural and not considered flaws

Care Instructions

This black Suzani jacket is a House of Stala piece, made with natural cotton velvet and finished with detailed embroidery. We stand behind the quality of our jackets, and part of that means making sure you know how to look after this one properly.

  • Dry clean only (recommended). A professional cleaner will protect the shape and keep the purple, red, light blue, and mustard gold threads from bleeding into the black velvet.
  • Use a handheld steamer for wrinkles rather than a hot iron.
  • If hand washing is unavoidable, stick to cold water and don’t let it soak.
  • Never put it in a washing machine.
  • Keep the iron away from the embroidered areas and patch pockets. Direct heat can damage the stitching.
  • Store on a hanger, out of direct sunlight, to keep the black base and colorful embroidery from fading.

This jacket deserves a little extra care, but it’s simple, and it pays off for years of wear.
