Our pink embroidered velvet bag is the palest in the Rodia collection. The base is soft blush-pink velvet. The bloom is stitched in lavender, mustard-gold and cream, with little dusty-blue accents running through the leaves. Of the six colorways, it’s the most romantic. It’s gentle enough for daytime and still striking enough to anchor an evening look.

Handmade & Artisan Story

This pink embroidered velvet bag is hand-embroidered by artisans one motif at a time, and every flower is made from dozens of individual stitches. The lavender and gold threadwork is all done by hand, so expect some gentle, natural variation from one bag to the next. That’s what genuine handwork looks like. A printed pattern would never do that.

Good to know: the lavender and gold Rodia bloom, with its dusty-blue leaf accents, is on the front only. The back is plain blush-pink velvet.

• Exterior: 100% cotton velvet in blush pink, hand-embroidered with cotton and silk thread in lavender, mustard-gold, cream and dusty blue
• Lining: cotton
• Closure: concealed zip at the top opening
• Interior: one slip pocket
• Handles: velvet, with a velvet bow attached at the top

Care Instructions

Blush-pink velvet is the lightest base in the collection, so it’s worth being careful with it and with the lavender and gold embroidery:

• Spot clean only. Dab gently with a soft dry cloth, or with a cloth lightly dampened with mild soap. Don’t rub or scrub.
• Don’t machine wash, tumble dry, soak or bleach.
• Air dry flat, somewhere away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Don’t iron the pink velvet pile directly.
• Store it with tissue paper stuffed inside, in a breathable dust bag and out of direct light. This helps the blush pile and the lavender and gold stitching hold their shape and color.
